Ramiro was born and began his riding career in the heart of Buenos Aires, Argentina. From an early age, Ramiro fell in love with everything to do with horses. He grew up riding and learning at the “””club in Argentina. 

At the young age of 19, Ramiro’s natural talents were recognized within Argentina and he was offered a job to work as the head rider and trainer at the renowned Sag Pond Farm in Sagaponack, NY. For 3 years Ramiro was in charge of Sag Pond’s immense lesson program as well as developing young sale horses for owner Christian Wolffer.

In 1999 Ramiro began his successful assistant job working for gold medalist rider Joe Fargis. Under Fargis’ wing Ramiro was given the opportunity to showcase his skills as a rider from the young jumpers all the way up to the international Grand Prix level. With international placings at the Hampton Classic, American Gold Cup, Hickstead, World Equestrian Festival, Queen Elizabeth Cup, American Invitational among many more. Ramiro was also given the honor to represent his home nation of Argentina in the WEF nations cup in 2003, 2004, 2005 & 2006.

After years of studying from Fargis and creating a name for himself, Ramiro decided to break on his own and established Ramiro Quintana INC in 2006. He grew a business that focused on a strong client base as well as continued his quest for international success. Ramiro continued his winning ways with placings in Grand Prixs in Lexington, Spangenberg, Princeton, Samorin and Sopot. Most notable; however, was his ability to represent Argentina in the trifecta of equestrian sport. Ramiro rode Whitney to a team silver medal in the 2015 Pan American games in Toronto. He then rode Appy Cara in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games and Rouge Pierreville in the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon. Thus fulfilling his childhood dream to compete at all three of the major show jumping championships.
