Cody first discovered her love for riding as a child on vacation in Wyoming. Upon returning home, she immediately started taking lessons with renowned pony mogul Emerson Burr at the Fairfield County Hunt Club. As a junior she amassed numerous championships from Devon to Old Salem as well as clinched multiple regional and national year end championships.

She began her junior jumper career with gold medalist Leslie Burr Howard and her equitation career with Timmy Kees while also competing in the IHSA at Brown University. In her remaining junior years, Cody was individual and team silver medalist at Prix des States, team gold medalist at North American Young Riders and won the young rider Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows.

After graduating from Brown, Cody moved to the Netherlands where she worked for 3 years with Leon Thijssen and Javier Salvador. Under their wing, Cody discovered her passion for developing and producing young horses.

After her European internship, Cody returned back to the United States to start her own successful business. Her clients have had victories at WEF, Lake Placid, Hampton Classic, Princeton and Old Salem Horse Shows. Furthermore, over the years she has selected, imported and trained numerous young sale horses that have gone on to compete at the highest Grand Prix level. Whilst also winning the 2014 6 year old young jumper championship in the Hampton Classic and the 2019 6 year old young jumper championship in Tryon.
